A lesson from the Philippines in how to forge fruitful iGaming partnerships

Despite its reputation as a transactional industry, iGaming is built on relationships.
Although some arrangements live or die on relatively short-term performance metrics and bottom-line returns, there is an increasing belief that mutually beneficial collaborations are built on more sustainable foundations.
This is especially the case with partnerships between suppliers and operators, for whom it is in both parties’ interests to work together to identify and deliver exactly what players want.
Collaborative momentum
Such an approach has been at the forefront of OMNIPLAY ’s growth journey. Over the past year, OMNIPLAY has evolved from an emerging supplier into a content provider preparing for broader international expansion.
By emphasising the importance of working closely with operators on game development and distribution, the iGaming content provider’s content is now available across most major online gaming platforms in its home market, the Philippines. Meanwhile, international expansion is firmly on the agenda.
A key driver behind this momentum is “disciplined product development”, an OMNIPLAY spokesperson explained, while also citing the importance of transforming successful mechanics into scalable content frameworks across multiple titles.
However, a strong understanding of player behaviour has been built through close collaboration with operators in the Philippines. These insights now serve as the foundation for OMNIPLAY’s expansion into new regulated markets.
“In a crowded market, we believe sustainable performance comes from consistently delivering content that performs and maintaining close collaboration with operators,” the spokesperson explained.
“Alongside mainstream titles with broad player appeal, we also work closely with partners to develop exclusive games tailored to specific market requirements and player segments.
“We continuously explore new mechanics, themes and gameplay formats, because a diverse market requires diverse content experiences. This flexibility, combined with our ability to respond quickly to operator feedback, has become an important differentiator for OMNIPLAY.”
Feedback fuelling game development
Such feedback has shaped the provider’s game development strategy. According to the spokesperson, operators in the Philippines are placing a greater emphasis on content quality, player retention and sustainable performance, for example. All of these insights are plugged into OMNIPLAY ’s production pipeline.
“Success is increasingly driven by the ability to deliver games that remain engaging over time rather than simply increasing content volume,” the spokesperson said.
“OMNIPLAY is well positioned in this environment because our portfolio has been developed and validated in a market that continues to set new benchmarks for online gaming growth. The experience gained in the Philippines provides valuable insights as we expand into additional jurisdictions and player segments.”
While OMNIPLAY’s growth strategy is international, the provider is learning vital lessons from its base in one of the fastest-growing iGaming markets worldwide. Last year, for the first time, online platforms in the Philippines yielded more than half of the country’s total gross gaming revenue , which totalled PHP396.14bn (US$6.647bn), according to the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).
From OMNIPLAY’s perspective, the growth of digital gaming in the Philippines reflects both increasing player adoption and a maturing regulatory environment – and has implications in the company’s home market and beyond.
“The Philippines continues to serve as an important foundation for our broader international expansion,” the spokesperson said.
“Our strongest-performing titles share a common principle: they are designed around a deep understanding of player preferences while remaining flexible enough to appeal to different audiences. A key strength of OMNIPLAY lies in the versatility of our development teams
